Malcolm creates Civil War Art that helps us remember African American Infantry.

I've been recently hard at work creating new masterpieces of art. One of the most powerful creations that I have been honored to create was this flag replica of the 56 Colored Infantry. The original flags were destroyed after years of neglect. This art represents my ancestors, black men that escaped from slavery to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to be free and fight in the civil war. These men help me to remember the sacrifices that were made by them, that they believed in the American dream of freedom.

Here with the young artist O'Ryan. He helped me create the concept of the painting. So honored to be a part of this incredible piece of history!
